8 Week Mind-Body Rebalance Course

This 60 minute class, run over 8 weeks by Miranda Wise, a qualified Meditation & Mindfulness Practitioner and member of Meditation Australia, is aimed at providing a variety of practical meditation and mindfulness tools to support pain, discomfort, stress and navigate feelings of uncertainty.
 

Connecting with the compassionate part of yourself by exploring a range of techniques from leading mindfulness experts you’ll begin to understand the mind/body/heart connection and the role it plays in our physical and mental health & wellbeing.

 

This course invites you to tune into yourself and allow your body and mind to relax and soften.

 

This course is suitable for anyone who is:

  • 18 years and over

  • New to meditation & mindfulness, or who is looking to deepen their understanding of the mind/ body connection

  • Suffering from chronic pain, discomfort and/or stress and open to exploring some new perspectives and practical techniques

 

Class numbers are limited to a maximum of 8 people

 

During the class you will:

  1. Learn practical techniques to calm your nervous system

  2. Understand how your mind escalates distress

  3. Deepen your awareness of the body/mind connection

  4. Learn how to respond to pain and discomfort as it arises

  5. Open a “wellbeing window” and create time and space for your body and mind to rebalance

 

What to bring/wear:

  1. Wear layered clothing that you feel comfortable in to sit and/or lie down. Layers are preferable to
    allow regulation of body temperature.

  2. Please bring your own towel (equivalent to a bath towel in size) and favourite cushion if desired.

 

Pre-requisites:

This course is open to everyone, is inclusive and non-denominational. No previous meditation experience is needed. We will touch on the basics of meditation and delve deeper into a variety of practices that encourage compassion, relaxation and a non-striving attitude. A trauma sensitive approach will be taken.
